A. If you are looking to hire a carpet cleaning company you should always ask lots of questions. Always ask for a quote over the phone, most carpet cleaning companies should be able to quote you a price over the phone. Always ask them if there are any hidden charges... Some splash and dash companies out there will charge you to pre-treat and for any spot cleaning they do during the service. Look out for super low prices($5 an area or $9.99 an area) most of the time these are sub-contracted techs that will up charge you to even walk in your home and your little $30 or $40 invoice at the start will turn out to be a $100. Just ask questions and if you don't feel comfortable don't hire that company.
A. This answer is simple, as many questions as you can come up with. But there are a few you need to make sure to ask. The biggest question is "what kind of training do the techs have that will be doing the service?" Another important question is "how long is the dry time?" If they cant tell you an exact time or if there dry time is longer then 4 to 6 hours I'd rather not use that company. But as I said before, ask as many questions as you can!
A. The most commonly asked question by customers is "How long does the carpet take to dry?"... It normally takes 2 to 4 hours to completely dry once the service is finished.
Q.Does Omega move furniture?
A. Yes & No... First of all we will not move any furniture unless told, if you do not let us know we will assume you want nothing moved. With that being said, we will move sofas, love seats, chairs, light weight tables and other light wait objects. We DO NOT move desks, TV stands, beds, dressers and any object heavier than 50 lbs.
Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?
A. To anyone wanting to get into the carpet cleaning profession should find a good company to work for. That may not always mean a company with a well known name or high prices. Ask questions during the interviews, learn the methods the use to clean carpet and get a feel for the kind of work they do. Always make sure the company does honest work, if they want you to cut corners or cheat customers don't work for them. Get well trained and then get trained again! I say that because you must be well educated in the field to do well in the field. Get out there and have fun!
